Who We Are

Mission & History

The Gretna Public Schools Foundation was established in October of 1990. The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to be the connecting link between those who wish to give of their resources for the betterment of our schools and the children of the community who would be the beneficiaries of that generosity.

The mission of the GPSF is to:
Grow Student Opportunities
Provide Community Resources
Support Public Education
Foster Community Impact

The Foundation is growing, and that means our programs and services are as well. Our goal is to support all district students and staff. As the Foundation moves into the next chapter as an organization, it is vital for us to create new partnerships and expand our reach.
