Gretna High School's Hydro Garden Featured on Local News Channel 3

Gretna Public Schools students are learning valuable life skills through preparing for, growing, and sustaining a hydro garden. Funding for the hydro garden came from a classroom grant provided by the Gretna Public Schools Foundation. In 2023, the Foundation partnered with the Young Adult Transition Program along with the Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) program to purchase the supplies and equipment to start the community garden. Growing the garden provides students hands-on learning experience along with working together with their peers with the common goal of growing the garden.
